Gorgeous Victorian Era 1890's Infants Cotton Lawn Christening Gown

This is definitely the most gorgeous turn-of-the-century Christening gown I have ever seen.........I literally cannot stop staring at it! Antique or vintage christening gowns are extremely collectible today and to find one this beautiful is truly a rare find. The stitches look to me to be all hand sewn, but I cannot be 100% sure. Elaborately embellished white cotton lawn Christening gown with short sleeves, low scooping neckline, fitted waistline with waistline seam and 3 foot long skirt. Now to describe the details. Starting at the waistline are 7 center rows of embroidered horizontal flounce, ending at hem with two tiered flounce. In-between the embroidered flounce are rows of beautiful French lace insets and tiny hand crocheted stars and floral circles. The scalloped hem of embroidered flowers and lace also features rows of pin tucks. The bodice features French lace inset yoke with lace draped shoulder that goes completely around back neckline and falls to give it a cape effect. Back of gown closes with double strings to tie and center tiny button, also boasts vertical tucks toward center. Condition Excellent, there are a few discolored spots toward hem and back shows light surface spots that will need to only be cleaned.
